UBC CS Master 项目的statement of intent的问题

UBC CS项目的文书也是很严格啊，要求非常明确：

中介建议要多写一些为什么产生了这个学术/职业目标的说明，然后我看了一下这一部分内容都快赶上文书篇幅的一半了。
我觉得不是很恰当，甚至觉得不需要写为什么有这个学术/职业目标。
各位怎么看？
