教授的回复，这种情况我还要等不？

之前跟教授见过面，也套过辞，我一直挺想去那个学校的，但是等到现在，却等到这么一个回复，我都不知道自己要怎么办了？

Regarding a research assistantship I am waiting to hear back from a few proposals but that may take for 1 day to 2 months – I have no control when I will be notified.



I understand that this does not give you much to go with. I could accept you into our PhD Program and we can start working together on finding funding for you after you come here. If that is an option you would be interested in I could guide you through the funding process.



I do see a lot of overlap in our interests, unfortunately this is the best I can do right now.



Let me know how you plan to proceed.

update:今天教授关于tuition的回复

I am afraid we cannot waive tuition at this point, they pretty low though. You can contact our financial assistance office to see if they could provide a loan mechanism for you.

PS> Keep in mind that there could be a chance of an RA position in the future but I do not know if and when this could happen.

不知道这个概率是多大啊，自己要不要下决定去赌，如果万一拒了所有的学校，这个学校ra没拿到，那就是phd ad了。

就是愿意帮你找钱啊。很想收你啊。
如果你觉得这个选择跟你其他的学校不在一个档次上，那就去吧。
风险跟回报一直都是成正比的。

学校倒是跟现在手里头的Offer学校差不多，但是挺喜欢老师的研究方向，跟我的非常吻合，而且这个老师挺靠谱的。刚发个邮件给他，就算如果funding没下来的话，问能不能至少保证个免学费，如果可以的话，那我就愿意等，大不了就自己掏一段时间的生活费
