oh, I see what you're saying.
Can you list out all the categories and the classes that go with th ...

Thank you for your reply.

I'm just interested in how you managed to finish the classes and get a very high GPA.

I'm not sure your school is quarters or semesters, let me take a quarters university as an example:

For RF: it is required to take  Applied Electromagnetics, Antennas: Analysis and Design, Microwave Engineering and Microwave Electronic Design

For digital concentration: Digital Circuits and Systems, Computer Design and Organization and VLSI classes.

That's like 10 classes already, let alone the devices maybe also take 2-3 classes to finish, it's like 12 EE classes in a row in one year, most of them are 5 credits class so it's like 20 credits a quarter. Also I feel like if you finished them in one year, you need to take some classes with its prerequisites at the same time, am I correct?  You managed to finish them and get a very high GPA, that's the part amazed me, would you like share some experience?

I found UT austin as another example:

EE 325Electromagnetic Engineering
EE 339Solid-State Electronic Devices
EE 438Electronic Circuits I
EE 316Digital Logic Design

Those four engineering classes ou have to take, for VLSI:
EE 360MDigital Systems Design Using VHDL
EE 460NComputer Architecture
EE 360RComputer-Aided Integrated Circuit Design
EE 360SDigital Integrated Circuit Design

For RF:
you need an extra core class:
EE 325K or
EE 363M
Antennas and Wireless Propagation
Microwave and Radio Frequency Engineering

and
EE 325KAntennas and Wireless Propagation

That's at least nine classes, it's even harder as austin is semesters...

Texas schools have 2 semesters a year (as far as I know),
California schools have quarter system.

take the classes you've listed for example:
1st yr   - finish pre-req (phys1/2, calc, differential equation, math blah blah)
              EE316
              EE360S
2nd yr
            -EE325
            -EE339
            -EE438
            -EE325K
3rd yr
            finish rest of VLSI classes

for me, 4 years are more than enough to finish just one concentration.

I take around 4-6 EE classes a semester,
and have 4.0 on my EE classes.
The dean let you take extra hours as long as you maintain a good GPA.

Sometimes I take additional upper electives outside my major to balance out the engineering course load, because courses in other majors tend to be easier.
I also have a pretty balanced social life outside of my studying;
the key is about good time management.
My goal was to finish in 3 years when I started, so I looked carefully at the course plan
and plan out what courses to take every semester.
You also have to take into the account of failing some courses and retaking it,
and some classes are only availabe once a year,
so make sure you evaluate the worst case scenario.

I take classes outside of EE at community colleges, or test them out.
This strategy really sped up my course level, and is a main reason I get to finish early.
For me, those classes are easy;spending my precious credit hours on them in long semesters is not worth it.

The following would be my suggestion to anyone.
-time management
-self-discipline
-plan ahead
-ask around for class information

There is EE class at community college? I thought there are just basic classes in the cc such as calculus & physics.
Interested in asking around for class information. What information do you ask for?

at community college, you can only take classes "outside" the EE major.
like history, art, government...etc.

I ask around for professor information, grading habits, and co-req possibilities.
There are many information not listed or written down on the school website/ from the advisor,
so it's always good to investigate from your upperclassmen.
