Professor Wei Xie is an assistant professor in Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at RPI. Her research interests focus on data analytics, computer simulation and data-driven stochastic optimization for complex cyber-physical systems, including smart power grids, healthcare and high-tech supply chains. 可以请问Prof Xie的研究怎么很多篇自己都是First Author而学生却是Second Author吗？

教授对入学时间应该都可以考虑，只是18fall不知道申请还是否来得及，看您是申请19fall的，可以跟教授联系问一下。

多谢关注。authoriship应该是根据文章contribution决定的吧。。主要看文章的idea和关键technical证明谁做的比重多一些。。应该一部分是学生first author，一部分教授first author，具体的在教授的CV中有注明。
