本来已经交了USC的deposit，USC的I-20都到香港了。但今天收到了TAMU的1000刀+两年的州内学费，相当于半奖了。TAMU两年30多万就能读下来。本科学的是光电，也不知道要不要转CS。求分析利弊。

TAMU给我的邮件附件如下：这个意思是不是必须做thesis了，如果做EE的thesis，对于转CS很不利吧？
We are pleased to notify you that you have been selected to receive a one-time graduate merit
scholarship in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The purposes of the scholarship are to
attract strong candidates to join our graduate program and to encourage their research activities towards their
M.S. or Ph.D. thesis.
This scholarship is for the period of September 1, 2018 through May 31, 2019 and September 1, 2019

through May 31, 2020. The scholarship offer provides a one-time stipend of $1000 and allows you to pay in-
state tuition instead of non-resident tuition. The in-state tuition is for the fall of 2018 through the spring of

2020, and is lower than non-resident tuition by approximately $15,252.00, depending on the number of course
credits registered. Hence, this is a substantial benefit.
After receiving this scholarship, you are still eligible to seek and receive other forms of assistantships
such as a teaching assistantship, research assistantship or fellowship. However, if you receive an assistantship
or fellowship, from any department, the scholarship will no longer be valid. If you do not already have an
advisor, please contact faculty in your areas of research interest to find an advisor.
As a recipient of the scholarship, you will be expected to carry a minimum load of nine credit hours for
the fall and spring semesters and show a steady progress toward your degree objectives. Departmental
scholarship are made available only to M.S. and Ph.D. students. Hence, by accepting this scholarship, you
acknowledge that you will not be allowed to switch to a Master of Engineering program in the future.
Please indicate your acceptance of this award by April 15, 2018. If we do not hear from you by then, it
will be assumed that you do not wish to accept this offer. If you have any questions concerning your scholarship
