Prof. Salehi at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Kentucky is looking for outstanding postdoc fellows and self-motivated PhD students and visiting students/scholars to join his research group starting Fall 2018 or Spring/Fall 2019. The research in his group focuses on both traditional and interdisciplinary topicsand you are encourage to apply if you have a background in one or more of the following areas:
VLSI and digital design
computer architecture and embedded systems
molecular (DNA) computing and synthetic biology
hardware security
stochastic computing
digital signal processing
neuromorphic computing.
Selected PhD students can be either RA or TA (both available). In addition to a waiver of tuition and fees, the Graduate Assistantship also supports health insurance and competetive monthly stipend. Furtheremore, Dr. Salehi will cover the cost for the conference participations.

The ECE department has about 600 students in BS, MS, and PhD programs and 24 tenure-track faculty, with research strengths in computer engineering, computational electromagnetics, nanoelectronics, power and energy systems, and signal and image processing. Faculty are actively involved in a broad range of research, including partnerships with the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CeNSE), the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing (ISM), NASA Kentucky, and the Power and Energy Institute of Kentucky (PEIK).
