Ph.D. positions areavailable at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville, TN, USA) in the Departmentof Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering (https://mabe.utk.edu/) in the area ofguidance, navigation, and control with emphasis on autonomous space systems and air vehicles.In addition to a waiver of tuition and fees, the Graduate Assistantshippositions also provide your health insurance and monthly stipend in the amountof over $2,000. Selected candidates couldstart as soon as Fall 2018 or Spring 2019.

The ideal candidate shouldhave an undergraduate or graduate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or a closely related field of engineering and science. The candidate should beself-motivated and committed to getting a Ph.D. degree, and is expected to havea strong background and interest in guidance, navigation and control ofaerospace vehicle systems. Candidates with experience in optimal control,convex optimization, modeling and simulation, numerical methods, and machine learning are highlydesired.

这个方向申请签证会比较难吧？听说有很多被Check的。

因为偏基础研究，所以申请留学签证的话一般没问题。可能会因为一些原因被check，但是基本上最终都会过，所以不用太担心签证问题。
