关于NCSU SOP 500字的字数要求，不一致啊

Statement of Purpose (a statement about your academic career, research, and career goals): Limited to 500 words and must be submitted with your online application.  以上是在ECE部门里面How to apply粘贴的...

但是申请系统里面又没有说，下面是申请系统里面的要求....
Describe your career goals and research interests, as well as your publications, work experience, and academic honors and organizations. You may also include an optional statement of the key learning objectives you hope to achieve in your studies, your achievements, talents, background, experiences, and traits that will contribute to the enrichment or diversity of the University or community, beyond your academic credentials.

到底按照哪个？

我有个理解是这样的...第二个申请系统里面的是针对所有专业的...第一个ECE的是针对EE专业的具体要求？？不知道理解正确否

Please limit your Statement of Purpose to 500 words. Due to the high number of applications submitted, our admissions committee has limited time in which to review applications and make admissions decisions. Your statement of purpose may be about your academic career, research experience, and research and career goals and must be submitted with your online application.

You are welcome to submit a resume or cv, but it is not a required document and is not necessary.

我也觉得这样比较好.....毕竟有要求

最好综合起来写,因为admission committee和department都要看的. 他们各取所需 不过字数最好不要超过太多 别人看得累

终于把我1000字的SOP，按NCSU的要求缩减为500字了（其实还是超了，不过一页能装下了，貌似有550左右，tex排版）
