PhD student positions
Research assistant positions are available in Liu Lab in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (https://medicine.umich.edu/dept/dcmb/jie-liu-phd). The students are expected to conduct research in the areas of machine learning, computational biology, and precision medicine. The students will also have opportunities to work closely with top-notch experts from Michigan Medical School and Michigan Institute for Data Science. Ideal candidates should have strong math background, solid programming skills, good communication skills, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Postdoc position
We are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to join Liu Lab in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (https://medicine.umich.edu/dept/dcmb/jie-liu-phd). The postdoctoral fellow is expected to conduct research in the areas of machine learning, computational biology, and precision medicine. The fellow will have opportunities to work closely with top-notch experts from Michigan Medical School and Michigan Institute for Data Science.
The successful candidate should have PhD in EECS (e.g. Machine Learning), Computational Biology, Biomedical Informatics, Biostatistics, or related fields with strong math background and solid programming skills. The candidate should demonstrate good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
We offer a competitive salary and an initial appointment of 12 months, starting any time of 2019. Extension of the postdoctoral position for up to 3 years is possible.
