RPI拒信收到的回复

感觉很像模板回复，看不出什么很有价值的内容。。。不过大家各取所需吧，对RPI了解不够也是一个原因吧。

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your message.  Your application was reviewed by the graduate admissions committee, and unfortunately the committee did not recommend you for acceptance.

It may help you to know that admission to Rensselaer’s graduate programs is an extremely competitive, rather than a minimum standards process.  Because we are fortunate to have many more applicants than available spaces, we are unable to admit many qualified students.

This type of competitive admission situation does mean that any single factor such as prior preparation compared to graduate goals, weak performance in one semester or a key course or independent research, compatibility between an applicant desires and program availability, along with faculty availability may adversely affect the final decision when another candidate provides more uniformly strong credentials.

Since competition is expected to increase for future terms, we do not encourage you to reapply unless you can provide significant new information such as new coursework in a relevant area, or improved test scores.

We thank you for your interest in Rensselaer, and wish you the best of luck in your academic endeavors.

弄得很复杂似的，不知学校如何定量分析审核比对不同材料，得出他们想看到的信息

同收到了RPI的拒信....大圣诞节的....真让人伤心.......

对啊，知名度不太高在国内，不过这是我dream school之一，收到拒信也被打击了

这句是point

“we do not encourage you to reapply unless you can provide significant new information such as new coursework in a relevant area, or improved test scores.”
