大家帮我看看这是不是口头offer？

主要是没有学术套就发了个CV就有这个邮件了，是不是我太自恋了管这个叫口头offer？
还请大家明察！

Sorry to judge since I am not so sure.

As you said, it is the graduate director. Dont you need to set up an advisor first? Usually in my department, they dont offer TA first before you have an advisor. However, it may be a different story in the school you applied. Good luck to your application~

Very well said, that's what I was worried about, too. But it still means I got a big chance, right? Maybe they just need to find someone for me as my advisor? Is that possible?

Well, another question, if as you said, everyone needs to find an advisor before getting TA, do you mean that student who doesn't "TAOCI" will have no chance at all?
