以下是正文部分。希望大家可以多多和学校ISSS保持联系，update自己的状态。

All off-campus jobsrequire work authorization (paid or unpaid).

F1

Post-completion opt:submit form to ISSS 110 days before graduation, to USCIS will accept 90 daysbefore

Processing time is3-5 months

Apply to ISSS:

Academic Advisorscertification form

Memorandum ofUnderstanding

Check the check liston ISSS website

60 days of graceperiod to begin post opt. the first day until 60th day can be the start date ofOPT

Choose a later dateis better. If early, USCIS will take the first date when they approved.

Can change employersat any time may work for multiple employers, as long as all employments isrelated to the study field. Accumulated at least 20 hours per week.

90-days unemploymentrule

Report employmentchanges to ISSS all the time. Failure to report employment info will make itappear like you have exceed unemployment days, will terminate F1.

Report changes toISSS:

• Report address or contact     information within 10 days of the change (company names, locations,     worksites)
  
• Update my personal email     address replace unc emails in SEVP portal.
  
• Completion of F1 opt
  
• Change of status of H1-B
  

How to report:

• Create an SEVP Portal     account, once opt approved, receive email from SevP
  
• Will be given a link to a     website
  

STEM OPT

• 24 month extension
  
• CIP code for degree must be     on DHS STEM destination list
  
• Employer and student complete     form 983
  
• 90 days before the opt end     date, list on EAD
  
• Apply to ISSS for I-20 110     days before end date, and have 180 days after the end date to work, after     I20, then apply from USCIS
  
• Checklist on ISSS website
  
• Report permanent leave from     US
  

STEM ParticipationValidation Reports:

Verify every 6months

Evaluation ofStudent Progress:

• And 24- months, on page 5 of     form 983
  

Travel while on OPTor OPT STEM:

• Travel signature on form 1-20     less than 6 months old with employment information listed
  
• EAD don’t travel during     grace period, after programs over and before get EAD
  
• Job offer letter
  
• F1 stamp
  
• Passport valid for at least     six months from date to re-entry
  

types of sponsorship:

H1B, J1, TN, O1...

Keep documentations,to confirm the actual date of employment, travel etc, to help employment. Printi94 entering US.

Ask directly toimmigration attorney's or HR Specialist who are assigned. Or immigrationlawyers

H1B

• Six-year minimum stay,
  
• 65,000 annual
  
• Part time or full time
  
• Cap subject employers:     petition filed on April 1 for a start date of Oct 1
  
• Cap-Gap extension of OPT
  

Workafter end of opt until H1B start date, Oct 1; or failed the H1B, end that date.
