Requirements:

• A Ph.D. degree in EE, ME/AERO, CS, Math, Physics or other related fields
• Evidentexpertise in finite difference and finite element methods  
• Demonstratedexperience in implementation of numerical algorithms in computer coding tosolve 3D partial differential equations
• Interestedin multi-disciplinary research
• Interestedin refereed journal publications
  

Additional Qualifications:

• Experiencein some popular (commercial or open-source) simulation packages for heatconduction, electromagnetics/optics, and/or materials design (based on DFT)
• Experiencein parallel computing
  

Job Descriptionfor the postdoc researcher

• Developmentof reduced order models for large-scale multiphysics simulations of structuresinvolving heat conduction, electromagnetics, optics and/or quantum eigenvalueproblems
• Workingwith graduate and undergraduate students in Department of Electrical &Computer Engineering, Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY, USA.
• Possibleprojects include simulation/design of electromagnetic bandgap structures and metamaterials,simulation/design optics crystals, computational materials, thermal awarescheduling for GPUs/CPUs and thermal aware design exploration for GPUs/CPUs.
