OMSCS能用来申请OPT Extension吗？

你假如这么做。你的OPT立刻失效了，因为你读了online degree。你必须马上处境。你还把证据给别人了。。。

目前还不确定OMSCS能不能申请OPT Extension，但是确定的是——OMSCS可以申请H1B。

没有I20就没有OPT。 因为没有sevis id

那回头用omscs degree申请h1b的时候不就知道了么.....这咋整

H1B不一样啊。OPT 就是和F1挂钩，用的F1签证。H1B都换签证了。你说能一样么，问你律师就好了。而且不用学校得ISSS不同， 所以CPT政策也不同。。人家根本不理你。

谢谢，已加分，抓住再继续问一下。
打个比方我opt今年开始，然后我也刚好今年底拿到omscs degree, 这个是opt开始之前就已经enroll了，那么明年申h1b的时候uscis一看我的cs degree是opt期间拿的, 不是也等于自首吗？

我记得申请 initial opt的时候 就需要学校dso给你一份写着opt pending的i-20 然 ...

如果先用文科专业或certificate program的I-20申请OPT，然后再用OMSCS的degree 和 文科专业或certificate program的I-20 申请OPT Extension呢？（也就是用文科专业或certificate program满足F1身份和I-20的要求，然后再用OMSCS满足STEM的要求，就正好把下面的1，2，3分别满足了）

To qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension, you must:
1. Be in F-1 status
2. Be currently working in a period of post-completion OPT
3. Have a bachelor’s degree or higher degree in an eligible STEM field

虽然OMSCS没有SEVIS number，但是截图中说的是对于那些在美国读文科专业或certificate program的人，文科专业或certificate program会给sevis number之类的

不是吧。。我问过我们学校的immigration office，他们的回复我粘贴如下：“Immigration regulations do not prohibit your pursuing a secondary degree, as long as you are engaged *full-time* in the degree program shown on your I-20, making normal progress.” “If you get the simultaneous MS and apply for OPT based on that program, you can study part-time in any program at any university, as long as you maintain full-time OPT employment in your field of study based on which the OPT or STEM OPT was granted.”
