急！有关PSU的统计项目

申请的PSU的stat MS项目，27号面试，今天早上刷出来这封邮件然我有点困惑
Penn State Ph.D. Admissions
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in our program. You were very highly
ranked by our admissions committee.  Unfortunately, due to the large
number of applications, we are not able to make you an offer with
financial support at this time.   While I am unable to give you an
exact rank to your individual application, you are currently on the
bottom 50% of our shortlist.  I am unable to provide exact rankings
because offers will be based on the decisions of applicants who have
received offers; I have to balance several criteria (e.g., geographic
region, gender) to have a diverse and well-balanced cohort of incoming
Ph.D. students.  It will take several weeks before we know if
additional support will be available.  If we have not contacted you by
April 1 and you are still interested in joining our program, please
let me know.  If you decide to join another program, it would be
helpful to us if you let us know also.

好像也没有明确拒绝，更像是WL。但问题是，我根本没申PHD 申的master of science 项目，也压根没指望他给我financial support。我愿意自费去读他们家的master，不知道这种情况下该怎么办呢？我可以直接联系他们问能不能给我一个master 的ad吗？不知道有没有学长学姐或有经验的同学来帮我看看？谢谢！

这个就是Phd项目的wl，我也收到了。我觉得你可以发邮件跟那个人说明一下情况

他家好像ms和phd一起审吧 ps：还balance the geographic region, gender

直接发电邮，告诉他们你申的是MS，而且不需要什么financial support，呆需要他们发给你MS AD就行了。

我至今没有面试的是不是已经被默拒了？

我觉得不一定吧，其实从面试到这个PHD的WL都超极诡异，我一直以为是他家搞错了orz 话说不知道同学你有没有他家MS项目录人的消息呀，我几天前发邮件表示了愿意自费读master的意愿，至今没有收到回应啊，不知道是不是真要等到4.1之后，真着急

我什么消息也没有，最近登录发现状态仍然只是“收到申请费”，发过好几次电邮也不见回复。
