PhD opportunity at University of Notre Dame (Department of Computer Science and Engineering)

Openings:
The Social Sensing Lab in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame (http://cse.nd.edu/) has multiple openings for PhD students to work under the guidance of Dr. Dong Wang (http://www3.nd.edu/~dwang5/) starting from Summer/Fall 2020.

Prospective students with a M.S or B.S degree (or expected by the time of admission) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply.  The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on exciting research projects in emerging areas of big data, networking and systems, AI and edge computing. Examples include: (1) big data analytics, human-centric AI; (2) social sensing, crowdsourcing, human-cyber-physical systems; (3) smart cities, Internet of Things/Everything (IoT/IoE), intelligent edge; (4) misinformation detection on online social networks. Preferred candidates should have a strong background in data analytics/networking/statistics/embedded systems/distributed systems and/or solid system implementation and development skills.

是有committee的，但也可以尝试一下，老师的意见也很重要。
