PhDpositions at University of Colorado Boulder 2019

Thereare 2-3 fully funded PhD and 1 postdoctoral positions available in thedepartment of Mechanical engineering, University of Colorado Boulder, in thearea of biomedical device and lab on a chip.
We conduct highly multidisciplinary research at the frontiers ofscience, engineering, and biomedicine. Currently our group focus on themicro/nano technology (Microfluidics and MEMS) for (1) On-chip diagnosis andanalysis, (2) Physical approach based precise intracellular and subcellular drugdelivery for immunotherapy and gene editing, (3) Cell mechanics. We aim todevelop innovative technologies and tools to solve challenging problems inbiomedicine and to improve human health. We take it as our responsibility totrain future leaders dedicated to excellence.

(1)   Ph.D. position starting Fall 2020: 1) Passion and commitment toexcellence; 2) Good training in research (publication and research experienceare preferred, but not required); 3) Good personality. Microfabricationexperience or acoustics background is preferred but not required. GRE andTOEFL (or IELTS) are required, but the score requirement is flexible dependingon your whole package.

(2)   Postdoc position starting spring 2020: Good training in the fieldof biomedical devices, microfluidics, and/or acoustics.
