申请季的第四个结果也是第四个offer
凌晨两点收到附有录取信的邮件

奇怪的是录取信中有这么一段
“We normally admit only those students that have a full undergraduate-level background in Computer Science, but in recognition of your unusual strengths, we have made an exception. In order to acquire the missing background, you will be required to take the following undergraduate courses in order to be cleared for graduation with an MS degree. Note that these requirements are over and above our normal MS degree requirements.

• Theory of Computation

Subject to certain conditions, our MS program permits students to take some undergraduate courses as proficiency requirement (CSE 587). Based on your overall preparation at the time of entry to the program, the program director may also permit you to take one or more graduate courses to partly fulfil the above proficiency requirements. But no more than 4 credits from courses taken to attain proficiency can count towards your MS graduation requirements. As a result, completing these proficiency requirements may lengthen the time you will need to complete the MS degree when compared to applicants who have no CS deficiencies. If you accept this offer and join our program, you should meet the graduate program director as early as possible in your first semester to understand these requirements and plan your schedule of courses. The director may, in some instances, permit graduate (rather than undergraduate)
courses to be used to satisfy a proficiency requirement depending on your overall background. However, the limits on counting their credits towards graduation will still apply. (A more complete description of the MS program requirements can be found in our Graduate Student Handbook.)“

我本科专业就是Computer Science and Technology，应该算是有“full undergraduate-level background in Computer Science”
而且录取信里说的这门“Theory of Computation”大二上过，具体学的是自动机理论和形式语言，成绩单里也有。

不过不打算发邮件argue这件事。Stony Brook很好，但算是申请中的保底校，应该不会去了。

有人需要SBU MSCS的refer吗？
