准备去的学校，论坛有讨论排名较低学校PhD的出路吗？

if u have the passion for big data, it certainly looks very hot now.
ML/DM would be good too.

IEOR can find similar jobs if you are a good data hackers. definition is blurry at this point. it really matters how strong u r, not whether ur grad school ranking is top 30 or top 50

Thanks for the reply. That is what I believe right now, to make myself stronger, not caring about the rankings. My question is how much will the employers care? And what do you mean by "definition is blurry"? Sorry but I don't know what definition you are talking about here.

担心啊，我觉得自己还是要很努力才行

申学校内部工作就不用占外面的H1B名额了~我们学校（你知道排名的。。。）的phd申本校的工作，年薪7w，H1B马上就能办

如果学学编程找个编码方面的工作应该不难吧，我是计算机背景……

不过怀俄明州的H1B实在是少得可怜……相信我要说能把PhD念下来的话还是有机会找到工作的，加油咯。
