He is looking for highly motivated and self-driven Ph.D. students (TA or RA) to join his group. His research focuses on the development of novel functional surfaces (e.g., liquid-repellent coatings, icephobic materials, microporous membranes, etc) and their applications. His recent publications can be found at https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=CJAKZ8oAAAAJ&hl=en.
The candidates should have a B.S., B.E. or M.S. degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a closely related area. Preference will be given to students who have a strong background in surface/interfacial science, wetting phenomena, functional surfaces/materials, or microfabrication.
Interested students should send Dr. Wang (wwang6@binghamton.edu) the detailed CV, the copy of transcripts, and the copy of representative publications (if any). Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
