Fauci称疫苗可能只提供 "有限 "的保护

美国顶级传染病专家福奇（Anthony Fauci）在周一说，任何一种新型冠状病毒的疫苗都存在防御时长的问题。卫生官员也认为，注射疫苗可以提供一定程度的保护，但这种保护往往是“有限的。” 福奇还说：Covid-19的疫苗不会像麻疹疫苗那样有效的，因为麻疹疫苗可以在人体上一直起作用。目前为止有大约140多个实验性疫苗正在研发阶段；那么最终是否至少有一个疫苗可以被证明是安全有效的呢？他预计可以在今年年底前得到答案。

Any vaccine developed to ward off the novel coronavirus would likely be limited in how long it would shield against infection, top U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci said Monday. Health officials are assuming a shot would offer a degree of protection, though it’s likely “going to be finite.” A shot to protect against Covid-19 won’t work like the measles vaccine, which lasts throughout a person’s lifetime, Fauci said. “We may need a boost to continue the protection, but right now we don’t know how long it lasts.” Fauci said he expects the American public will have an answer before the end of the year or by early 2021 as to whether one of the more than 140 experimental shots in development has proven safe and effective.  source
