Multiple Research Assistant positions in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Temple University are available for Spring and Fall 2021. Candidates will work with Dr. Hongchang Gao towards Ph.D. degrees. The desired candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research in machine/deep learning, optimization, and data mining.

[Requirement]
(1) Undergraduate or graduate students in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related majors; (2) Solid mathematical backgrounds and/or strong programming skills; (3) Candidates with research experience in machine learning, optimization, and data mining are preferred; (4) Strong motivation for conducting high-quality research; (5) More information can be found at https://cis.temple.edu/GradAdmissions

Dr. Hongchang Gao (http://www.pitt.edu/~hog10/index.html ) joined the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Temple University this summer. His research areas include machine/deep learning, optimization, and their applications on data mining, with an emphasis on deep learning on graphs and large-scale optimization. Dr. Gao’s research has been published on top-tier machine learning and data mining conferences/journals, including ICML, KDD, AAAI, IJCAI, ICCV.
