博士：
1. 材料学，物理学，化学，以及机械工程领域的硕士研究生以及本科毕业生
2. 最好具有计算材料研究经验
3. 系里规定的成绩要求：1）GPA：不低于3.0；2）TOFEL：笔考不低于550分或者机考不低于79分；IELTS：不低于6.5分；3) GRE：必须提供GRE成绩单无最低分要求
博士后：
博士毕业于材料学，物理，化学，或者相关的专业。具有良好的物理, 化学, 以及计算材料学基础， 熟悉计算材料学软件，以及有一定动手编程的能力

About PI:
Dr. Qi An is an assistant professor in the Chemical & Materials Engineering Department at University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) since July 2016. He completed his Ph.D. in Materials Science at Caltech (2012). Then He was a postdoctoral scholar in the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Caltech before joining UNR. His research area is computational materials science. His research specifically focuses on computational materials design; deformation and failure mechanisms of materials; metallic glass and heterogeneous catalysis. He has authored or co-authored over 140 publications in the scientific journals such as Nature, Science, Physical Review Letters, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of the American Chemical Society, etc.
