确认一下，所以说我如果这里可以在他们回来之前先降级，同时递交485，在表A current之前，她还是可以回来之后再递交她的485，而且不被delay是吧

Applicants and dependents in this situation must be diligent about checking the monthly visa bulletin and filing the dependent’s I-485 application in a timely manner.  If the primary applicant’s Adjustment application is approved before the I-485 for a spouse or children is filed, the dependents will no longer have underlying nonimmigrant status and will not be able to Adjust.

它说的这个情况是accompanying。就是说你和你配偶同时拿pr。 following to join是你配偶比你后拿pr。

嗯，应该是这样。我的point是说主申pending的时候副申可以提交485，但你说的对，应该是名词搞混了，这个应该叫做accompanying。

EB3-140 和485一起提交 --> 省去relink
这是因为什么？不是太了解其中的流程

EB3 140和485一起提交，就默认485是和EB3的140绑定在一起的，而不是你的EB2 140.
如果后续又希望走EB2，就需要把这个485 relink回EB2的140.

这样做的好处是你的485可能有个比较早的RD，在处理队伍里相对靠前。
但EB3 140提交上去之后USCIS也是需要去找你的EB2 140申请，主要是为了找到你的PERM Certificate，这个过程不能PP，140 （可能还会包括485）的receipt出来比较慢。

所以大致总结一下楼上几位的comments

如果我在配偶回美前，就先降级，同时递交EB3-140和485，不能PP，可能需要几个月的时间才能approve。（基于现在eb3和eb2的gap比较大，所以我觉得还是值得降级的）
另外关于follow to join的问题，如果我485交了，在表A变current之前，配偶都不能递交485是吧？但是又需要在我的PD current以后，在批准身份调整前，及时递交她的485，是不是这样？

如果我没记错，只要领证时间在主申递交485前，副申可以在A表current的任何时间follow to join，即使主申已绿。所以你完全可以自己先交表。
