花钱读个南加州的Master工业工程方向好留下工作吗

同问，USC的master在美国好就业不，其他专业的呢？

同问，帮顶。USC的EE专业怎样，不少人都说USC水？真心不了解……我只想问USC好就业么？

超级版主大大，求问USC general  ISE ms 就业情况如何，有哪些就业方向和什么类型的企业呢。。。我本科物流工程，目前倾向于SCM，有过国内烟草物流的实习经验。上个月拿到这个项目的AD，主要考虑毕业后能留美帝工作几年，不想毕业就回国。。。求助斑竹大大~

同问，IEOR类master在米国就业情况这么悲惨呀，一直觉得这专业还有些技术呢，打算从这个。。。求问知情者为什么这个专业就也情况不太理想？

絕對不是只有"因為念了IEOR" 這個原因

對IEOR沒有熱情沒有興趣，找不到工作也是理所當然的

Where do you hear that?

I just got a BS in Purdue IE, and most of my Chinese class mates find a decent job after graduate; and so do I. None of us have green card. From what I know, and what I saw (2012 & 2013), Chinese Purdue Master grads from IE program finds good jobs in all kinds of areas, consulting firms, manufacturing, design, IT.
I think you really need to get down to earth, find what you are good at and what company fits you the best... gotta really try hard to find a job, meaning finding a job isn't an easy thing and it is never an easy thing. But doesn't mean it is not possible, that's just huge negativity.
Any prejudice towards majors or schools is not worth spreading. NOT the right thing to do just because it is misleading.

I think it is not a fair statement that IE&OR means bad job market. I do agree that if you are good at CS, you have very good chance to find job in the booming industry. Doesn't mean if you are not major in CS you can do nothing......

I think the challenge is the scope of Industrial Engineering migrated in the past 50 years. IE was given birth in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering 100 years ago, focusing on improve the overall manufacturing and production system. Human Factor and Operations Research joined the family of IE in the 50s. Now OR has applications in Supply Chain, Finance and all kinds of modeling for various application. Human Factor has application in work machine interface, and UI design.

From what I know, different schools are good at different areas within IE discipline. I think it is a wise thing for people to think about what you like and what you are good at before apply. Simply because if you are good enough at something, people will find you and that is when your opportunity comes.

I am fed up with those people saying xxx is very hard to find job, CS is indeed easier to get job but not everyone has passion about CS, and for those who judge IE as a bad major, they are probably neither have no idea about what IE really is nor study IE

Smart people shouldn't believe for no reasons or listen from others, those opinions are short-sighted.

I agree with you every IE school has their own specialities, people should do more research on it.
