student universe 退票经历

本人也是新生菜鸟，毫无经验的情况下在student universe上买了加航的转机票。
美签5月14到现在还没信，更没有时间去办加航的过境签啦。只能选择退票。（买了最高的保险54.92刀）
首先参考了一篇日志：退票
然后去淘宝上买了2欧的skype币。
去student universe上查订票信息。在窗口下面看到一个chat 窗口，这种online客服我本来是不报希望的。不过出于好奇，我还是发了一个Hi。
结果效果奇好，客服很快就答复了。复制对话如下。（→我  Stu 客服）

Stu: Hello XXXX! （名字隐去，秒回复啊！）
Stu: How can I help you today?
→I bought a ticket from Beijing to Hartford
→However, my visa application is delayed.
→Could I cancel the ticket or change it to another flight?
Stu: Let me check your account.
→Thank you for your time.
Stu: You're welcome. Please give me a moment.
Stu: You can change or cancel your ticket.
Stu: The restrictions allow for that to happen.
Stu: The fees for cancellations and changes are the same.
Stu: $100 separate fee for StudentUniverse changes/cancellations. And $250.00 Air Canada fee.
（ 350刀，太贵了，心痛中。。。退换一个价啊！）
Stu: If you change your flight, we will also need to collect the applicable price increase or fare difference.
→Will the ticket fee be refunded to my account fully?
→How about the insurance?
Stu: The Air Canada penalty will be taken out of the total ticket value.
→For example, the ticket fee is $1,287.30 and the insurance is about $54.92. How much money will be refunded to my account and how much money will be the penalty?
Stu: Insurance will also be deducted from the total ticket price.
Stu: But since you actually have insurance, you can file a claim for 75% of your total cancellation penalty.
（收回一部分钱，happy啊，看来买保险还是有用的）
→Thank you very much. That's very helpful.
Stu: It's good that you are contacting us as early as today.
→Could you tell me how to file this claim and How to cancle this ticket?
→I am a new user, and this is the first time I bought ticket from the Student Universe.
Stu: You will be eligible for 75% of the cancellation fee if you process changes or cancellations more than 48 hours prior to departure. （各位注意时间，48小时内可以退penalty的75%，仅扣87.5刀的penalty）
Stu: You can call Travel Guard first, through 1-866-476-6688.
→Thank you once again.
Stu: Your policy number is XXXXXXXXXX.
Stu:  You will need to present that to the agent when you contact Travel Guard.
→Ok, thank you. I will make that phone call right now.
Stu: All right.

Stu: Generally, it will take 2-4 weeks. I will be cancelling your reservation now, and you will be receiving a confirmation email of the cancellation within 24 hours.
→I see. Thank you very much.
Stu: You're welcome. Can I help you with anything else?
→No, thank you. If my visa application is issued, I would like to bought another ticket and then I will contact you again. Thank you for your kind help.

按照我的推算，这次购票赔了保险54.92+penalty87.5 共计142.42 刀（还有2欧的skype）
血淋淋的教训啊，不要随便下手买票。尤其是转机的！！！！！
等待钱的回收。。。。

补充：
online-chatting结束后，按照travel guard发给的指南，向travel guard 提供了证明材料，包括所有与SU和travel guard往来的邮件，以及当时购票的信用卡账单。
约两个星期SU扣掉我100刀手续费，约三个星期收到SU的回款1031.3刀（1287.3刀-250刀加航退票penalty），然后claim至今未果。保险费用比较慢的。

问了原因，他们说不会全赔，只是赔了一部分。50多刀的那个我觉得是全险吧，就是无理由的情况下可赔一部分。签证和无理由赔偿是一类的。

也可能和航空公司有关系。你再问问客服。

请问我也是由于签证原因要退票，买了五十多刀那个保险，刚给那个保险公司打电话，那边问我是什么原因要退票，我实话说是因为签证问题，他们说不包含在他们的理赔范围内，所以不能cover我的panelty。哭。。。。。。这是为什么，楼主当时没有问你退票的原因就直接给你number了么？

嗯，student universe很坑爹，他们现在改了，好像国际生只有50多刀那个保险了，而且不支持无理由退票了。。。。

更正一下，我仔细想了一下，估计100刀Stu的手续费是不会退了，250刀的penalty会退75%
这样子，我扣了54.92刀保险+100刀手续费+62.5刀penalty  共计217.42 刀   

LZ 5.14美签还没信吗，我6.27的美签check，8.5号的飞机，目测要为退票做准备了。。。要命的是我没买那个保险。。。

check 都是拼人品的事儿，我人品太差了。不过你算着时间点吧，不行真得退了。保险能挽留的也不是很多，肯定是要赔上一笔的。
