PhD Position in Additive Manufacturing at Clemson University

There is one Ph.D. position opening at the Department of automotive engineering of Clemson University, Greenville, SC.
The research topics of this position primarily focused on Additive manufacturing, Computational materials science, Microstructure modeling, AI, and Machine learning (AI and Machine Learning also applied to treat the experimental data).

Requirements: preferred to be at the majors of Material Science (metal), Manufacturing Engineering and/or CS. Familiar with nontraditional additive manufacturing (laser and/or arc), metal material property, or CA/PF models to simulate the microstructure or machine learning to analyze experimental data. Better to have the experience on SEM, TEM, XRD etc. Good at English communication and writing. Great enthusiasm for doing research-oriented tasks.

Degree: M.S. graduates; visiting schalors; CSC funded potential PhD are welcomed to apply.

Deadline: better to start in Spring 2021, though Fall 2021 is also ok. It is always better to apply as early as possible. The position is open until it is filled.

课题组PI简介: Shunyu Liu 从2021年1月起在Clemson University任助理教授, 2015 年毕业于华北电力大学，师从刘宗德教授，2015-2020年在美国普渡大学将获得博士学位 (Purdue University at West Lafayette）师从Professor Yang. C. Shin（Donald A. and Nancy G. Roach Distinguished Professor of Advanced Manufacturing）, 主要从事增材制造方向，在著名国际期刊发表多篇刊物。

是的，原来很敏感。但现在STEM专业基本都很敏感。这么一看反而好多了。
