扎克伯格和他的妻子Priscilla Chan在周二表示,"我们从选举官员那里得知,他们需要资金用于建设为大选投票准备的基础设施,所以今天我们将向技术和公民生活中心(Center for Tech and Civic Life )承诺再捐额外的1亿美元,以确保每个地方选举管辖区都可以有资金保证。"
Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL)是一家总部位于芝加哥的非营利组织,据其网站介绍,该组织 "致力于促进更加知情和参与的民主,并帮助美国选举现代化"。到目前为止,已有2100多个地方选举管辖区向CTCL提交了资金申请。

Facebook Inc Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, said on Tuesday that they will donate an additional $100 million to support election officials and fund infrastructure for the U.S. election in November.
“We’ve gotten a far greater response than we expected from election officials needing funding for voting infrastructure, so today we’re committing an additional $100 million to the Center for Tech and Civic Life to make sure that every jurisdiction that needs funding to help people vote safely can get it,” Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post.
CTCL is a Chicago-based nonprofit that, according to its website, is “working to foster a more informed and engaged democracy, and helping to modernize U.S. elections.”So far, more than 2,100 local election jurisdictions have submitted applications to CTCL for support.
The pair previously donated $300 million to help the U.S. election process deal with challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, by funding voting equipment and protective equipment for poll workers. source
