Prof. Jun Xu at Stevens Institute of Technology is looking for multiple fully-funded Ph.D students or Postdocs working on the following topics:
- Binary analysis for security
Jun (https://sites.google.com/view/junxzm/home) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology. His research interests include system security, software security, and binary analysis. The goal of his research is to secure computing systems by neutralizing the risk of vulnerabilities in the software stack. He also do research to combat malware. Over the last years, Dr. Xu has published numerous peer-reviewed publications at top journals and conference proceedings and has been honored with highly renowned awards, such as CCS's 18, Outstanding Paper Award.
Stevens Institute of Technology (https://www.stevens.edu) is a private research university in Hoboken, New Jersey. Incorporated in 1870, it is one of the oldest technological universities in the United States and was the first college in America solely dedicated to mechanical engineering. The campus is located on Hudson River, which is just minutes away from Manhattan.
Requirements:
- A bachelor/master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant fields.
- Good English
- Good programming skills
- If you obtain a degree from a English-speaking higher-education institute, TOEFL could be waived.
- If you are a strong candidate, GRE could be waived.
