Dr. Jun Li in the Graduate Center, City University of New York, is looking for highly self-motivated Ph.D. students starting in Fall 2021. Candidates with experiences on distributed computing, information theory, machine learning, or any other relevant field are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants with non-CS background such as electrical engineering or applied mathematics will also be welcomed. CUNY graduate center is classified as an R1 university. Dr. Li received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Fudan University and received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Li is now an assistant professor at the Queens College and Graduate Center, City University of New York. His current project focuses on coding techniques for distributed machine learning.
