与此同时，财政部在周二晚上开始发送高达600美元的个人补助金。如果最终确实将此补助金增加到2000美元，政府之后会在已经发放的现金基础上再增加。

The Democrat-held House has approved a stand-alone bill to raise stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000. But by Wednesday, raising the stimulus checks to $2,000 in the new year-end coronavirus relief bill remained deadlocked as Senate Republican and Democrats remained divided over whether to send more relief.

In the meantime, the Treasury Department began sending out stimulus checks of up to $600 on Tuesday night. If it does eventually increase this grant to $2,000, the government will later add to the cash already handed out.  source
