这回真的是要失学的节奏么？

签证被check，目测在学校要求的最后期限内不能到达，于是按照immigration officer的建议我向VT的ECE department申请延期到春季学期入学。结果换来了小秘的如下回复。。。


We typically do not offer deferrals.  We will send your info to the admission officer as well as the Graduate Program Director to see if they will allow you to defer.  Generally speaking any new accepted applicant that cannot attend the semester they applied for needs to re-apply and go back into the application pool.  We are very competitive and the quality of the applicant pool could increase or decrease.  This will take some time for the admission officer to decide considering we are getting ready for orientation and the start of a new semester.  Please be patient on the decision.


求助。。。已经无法be patient on the decision，这时候应该怎么argue？

这几天没消息也赶不上了...唉，这check弄的，就算defer了，代价也太大了

晚几天入学不行吗？我们学校时不时的会有因为check来晚了的学生，之前实验室有个印度mm就错过orientation了，貌似没什么问题啊。直接找academic advisor吧，小米也不能拿主意的。

I20上写明19号入学，我问immigration officer说是最晚23号入学，该怎么说服她呢？

什么学校。。。求问

没看明白，这个immigration officer是哪儿的？vo吗你是说？
问管grads的academic advisor，看看有没有转圜余地，怎么解决这个问题，晚几天行不行，重新发个I20行不行什么的。

soga, 我觉得这种事儿还是得找系里帮忙啊，国际学生办公室才不管你早几天晚几天呢，都是按规则办。系里想要他的话就会帮忙想办法了，什么事儿都是可以negociate的其实。
