1. Java Engineer
Location: Shanghai/Beijing
Job Responsibilities
Dedicated to the provision of the all-around solution concerning to the potential risk brought by Internet/third-party payment in PayPal system and improvement of the customer experience. Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities includes:
• Working as a full stack engineer, responsible for the design, development (both front and backend), testing, deployment and maintenance of the assigned system modules.
• Using advanced programming language like Java to develop system with highly reliable, highly available, highly scalable and easy to maintain.
• Working in a scrum team including oversea members for the development, including frequent communication and correctly understand the requirements of your product managers
• Fast action to live issues
. .и• Eager to learn new technologies and apply to daily works
Requirements:
• Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields
• A solid foundation in common design patterns, algorithms and data structure and can implement in C++ or Java
• Working knowledge and experience with UNIX or Linux platform and can program in Python, Perl or Shell is a plus
• Good communication skills. Fluency in English and Chinese is a must, both written and oral
• Experience on SQL or NoSQL storage is a plus
• Knowledge of Distributed System is a plus


2. Big Data Engineer
Location: Shanghai
Job Responsibilities:
• Works with PayPal Business and Product teams to define Big Data solution requirements for one of the largest data platforms in the world.
• Design, Develop and Maintain Big Data application/solutions using Java, Scala, Spark and other Big Data Technologies in Cloud environment.
• Develop high-quality code with unit and regression tests.
• Provide data in a ready-to-use form to data analysts and data scientists for Business insights, predictive analytics, Machine Learning, etc.
• Work with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
• Look for improvement opportunities with business impact using new technology
Job Requirements:
• Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields
• Experience in Object-Oriented programming: Java, Scala, Python
• Good knowledge of Spark and Big Data technologies, such as Hive, Pig, Storm, Flink…
• Experience on Data Warehouse or Data Lake development
• Good analytic and problem-solving skills
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Experience in Cloud, such as GCP, AWS, Azure, Aliyun is a big plus
• Experience in Unix Shell Scripting, Relational Database is a plus
