自用模板-求refer的fNetworking Email样例 写了三年回复率~90%总结的经验

写了三年多的networking邮件，超过一半的面试都是这么来的，我之前刚开始写的时候很紧张很希望有人能在网上教教我怎么写。现在就总结一下，希望能帮到大家，如果喜欢可以加米~
第一点，列个excel表格把自己reach out的人们在linkedin上的都记录下来方便followup和管理，实习过的老板和同事们开另一个tab也要节假日followup。找工作的时候一天找好多人，根本记不清谁回了谁没回，管理一下不仅能够高效的看出进度，还能看到自己reachout和small talk越来越溜以后成功率大大提升，心里很有成就感。还有一个附加的好处，就是刚开始写一封或者一段话要好久，然后人家没回还有点小失落，后来发多了，人就变渣了，根本不在乎人家回不回你，每次别人不回我，我为了不难过，我就再发她十个，渣的厚脸皮了，目标多了自然就不太在乎一个两个。


第二点，清晰的需求。无论是要教授的推荐信，networking一个陌生人等等，最重要的是要清晰表达自己的需求和别人怎么能够帮到你，这个放在前面，然后再讲自己的能力和相关的经验来证明自己是worthy of your help. 大段的彩虹屁大可不必，我觉得一两句表达你的兴趣和这个人的职业有关联即可。试想我们收到一封陌生人的邮件，第一件事就是想知道，what does this person want and why does it concern me? 所以一定要把你具体要求别人帮忙的形式（mock,看简历，求connect，十分钟电话）写清楚。

第三点，先把logistics settled，让他们做选择题 从ABC时间里选，而不是让他们自己propose一个时间。经常发着回着几个回合丢失在了正在settle哪天几点什么方式打电话这种细节…一个月后繁忙的Director终于想起你了（或者没想起）是非常正常的…所以在第二封（甚至第一封）就提供自己的availability和沟通的方式和handle是非常明智的。虽然很多小伙伴们觉得第一封在assume别人愿意搭理你，好像很自恋，这也是为什么我80%选择第二封来写logistics，但是在一些比较aggressive的公司和人面前，这样做没什么不好，因为别人不愿意搭理我就不会搭理我（这也完全没关系！）不会跟我多写一句少写一句有关，毕竟在节省他们的时间。大多数的时候，在他们回邮件表示愿意的时候把自己的时间 列三个时间选择cover周中和周末。也不要说I’m available anytime显得你很闲或者很急，而且又变成了一个open ended questions我们要做的是选择题，因为我们要做的是节省他们的时间，把他们跟我们networking的流程最简单化，每次你让他们多做选择的时候回复的时间就会多加几天…因为大家用手机看邮件，如果是一键选择，很多人5分钟之内顺手回复了，如果看着很复杂，当然会拖延一段时间等到拿到电脑/想起来再弄。


第四点，第一次reachout肯定是有事，大家感谢你写得很清楚让他们帮上你的忙，他们心里也与成就感。但是第二次reachout最好是中间有一些节假日的祝福和自己的update，我年底刚做完一个项目，我就会给Diretor和面试我进来的MD发个邮件祝福新年快乐顺便报告了我的进展，我怕他们记不住我做了啥，我还做了一页ppt有着data visualization那种这样别人就算不点进去附件也大约有个印象我做了一个项目 有图有印象！等我想要internal转组时 再发 就不显的是每次我发邮件都有求于人。

第五点，聊天的时候要多问问题，这个比例大约7/3 当然因人而异，有时候我非常需要这一轮impress他们给我机会，但大多数时候他们不是hr，也不记笔记，每个人都喜欢讲自己的事情，更多时候，你给他们少一点信息，两个projects，三个关键词关于自己的能力，留下的印象更深刻，帮你refer和转发的时候也更省力气。让他们开心的秘诀是会问问题！让他们多讲讲自己。有一种给年轻人传授经验的感觉，自己也很有成就感。



第二点和第三点都是从类似产品设计的角度，来简化这个过程让我们等待的时间更短。

这里分几种情况给下模板

Networking event或者打过电话的需要follow up
Note: 这个followup不一定要24小时之内，因为你正在networking的人们，他们也networking别人，很少有人有空把每一个人都及时followup他们都理解的，个人的经验来讲，follow up的质量绝对大于时间的要求，如果有一个人24小时之内跟我联系，除非只是加个LinkedIn，还加上了大段的个人描写，我只会记得这个人非常努力…反而是如果几个月以后有事情真的有我能帮忙的地方，例如mock interview例如有一个共有的联系人需要connect，只要写出清晰的需求我能怎么样的帮到你，无论我多久之前见过这个人，一定会尽力帮忙。
