1.department
The Ohio State University. the department of chemistry (which has merged the department of biochemistry recently)

2.enrollment of new grad students this year
Our department may have enrolled over 40 new students this year, 11of whom are Chinese. And it is the first time that our department took so many Chinese students at one time. We also have international students coming from India, Tailand, Singapore etc. Among the Chinese students, 3 are from Wuhan University, 1 from ZJU, 1 from fudan, 1 from ustc, 2 from nju, 1 from tianjing uni, 1 from zhengzhou uni and 1 from hunan uni. 5 of us are working as RA now. As far as I know, our department has an eye on the GPA and G.T scores. And I think our department may also take in more than several students this year, for many professors have their senior students graduated and are in need now.

3.working potential
I have not known a lot about it yet. Several professors in our department have a close tie with industry, and students from their groups are apt to work in the industry. And there are cases that students quitted with a master's degree. Postdoc seems common in the field of chemistry, especially in the years that not so many jobs are avaliable. And it seems that it is not so hard for PhD here to go to a top uni for postdoc, like MIT, harvard, etc.

Above is what I know about my department, which may include information that is not so accurate or even is wrong. So just for reference.

有个师姐在OSU花了四年读了个化学硕士，毕业就转去读Pharm D了。

最近2年招中国人招的好少了。。。主要因为口语问题
