指定了supervisor。offer上的原话是：
Specifically, in recognition of your excellent record, for the first academic year, the department is pleased to offer you 9 months of support for the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 terms in the form of a 50%  graduate assistantship, corresponding to an average 20 hours per week of committed time. In addition to the tuition and partial fee waiver, this assistantship includes a monthly stipend of $2,448. Further, for the duration of your studies beyond the five-year funding commitment, you are eligible for renewed assistantships contingent on availability of funds and the conditions listed above. There is also a possibility of seeking additional assistantship support during the summer months.

这个50%指的是50%FTE，就是全职工作（40小时每周）的一半，也就是20小时一周，是F1签证学生的assistantship能工作的最长时间。这个50%除非你绿卡或者公民了否则不会上涨，但是stipend rate一般CS系可能会根据新生，过了qualify，或者是diasertation阶段有一定程度上涨。

层主解释得十分好？不知道层主知道UIUC PhD进去知道可以换supervisor？甚至换研究方向？这个是要找department head出面干预吗？
