Ph. D. Openings on Robot Vision

TheIntelligent Autonomous Systems Lab (http://ualr.edu/cxye/laboratory.htm) of theUniversity of Arkansas at Little Rock has three Ph.D. student openings forSpring/Fall 2014. The successful candidates will develop computer visionmethods based on a 3D Flash LIDAR for a co-robotic navigation aid for thevisually impaired. The research topics include:

-       6DOF Simultaneous Localization and Mapping

-       3DData Segmentation

-       3DObject/Scene Recognition

-       Human-RobotInteraction

Theproject is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In 2013, The NIHfunded three projects nationwide through the National Robotics InitiativeProgram. More information about this project may be found here:
