Robinhood DS-Analytics全程面经

这次面试完全是机缘巧合，LZ现在的工作很舒适所以偶尔面试看看市场。

因为地里面关于robinhood DSA phone interview及以上的面经很少，大部分都是OA的题目，所以打算开个贴回报一下地里， 顺便多看看别的公司的面经。因为签了NDA的缘故，onsite的具体题目我不会直接的po在这里，如果需要更加详细的题可以留言或私信。
题目的话我就直接写因为省的切换输入法麻烦，之后也会加一些我自己的见解。如果觉得有用请给米~~


OA:

You should be able to find the most questions and answers from the posts on the forum.

Probability: Below is the family tree for a small parade of elephants, one of which (c) exhibits albinism caused by a mutation in the gene for skin pigmentation. Each elephant carries two copies of this gene and in order to be an albino, both copies must have the mutation. When the elephants mate, each parent passes one of their copies onto the child with equal probability (regardless of mutation). Elephants A and B each carry only 1 copy of the mutation (and thus don’t exhibit albinism) and elephant C carries 2 copies (and is affected), as shown in the figure. Elephant C, D, and E are all descendants of A & B, and elephant F is a descendant of D & E.

Please show your work or reasoning for each of the following questions:

1. given that elephant D is not an albino, what is the probability it has exactly one copy of the mutation? 2/3
2. Given that elephant E is not an albino, what is the probability it has exactly one copy of the mutation? 2/3
3. What is the probability that elephant F, when born, will be an albino?. check 1point3acres for more. ¼ * (⅔)^2 = 1/9

SQL * 3: farily easy, I think it's leetcode medium or below. You should complete within 10-15 minutes. You can run the query immediately.

Product Case Study:
The context here is Robinhood to run an AB test to see if a push notification works, and give you a list of metrics with P-values and net-impact. The questions ask you which metrics are important and why. The second question is asking you to make recommendations

This round is led by a PM. I think I did pretty bad on this round compared to other rounds. In fact, I think I aced the other two rounds. I felt very limited when I interacted with the PM, and she didn't answer any question that I asked to clarify, and instead, she always turned my question to another question. （这就是我刚开始跟她对话就觉得我这面试肯定凉了，现在想到和她互动就觉得是我一个人的表演。。。。

She asked about a major streaming service, if we'd add a new feature onto the premium service, how do we do the opportunity sizing, define the metrics and set up the test? How to make sure the data are balanced, and how to roll out the feature if we can't ab test.

SQL * 6
Most of them are Leetcode medium to hard, and you can finish the last two using Python or R. The environment is set up in Python 3 though. You can also do all the questions using SQL if you feel that more comfortable.

另外，我已经接到其他算是比较心仪的offer了，越来越觉得，面试就是双向选择，我很感谢robinhood没有选择我！！！工作是生活的重要组成部分，如果面试你的人你都不对付，那今后工作以后不知道会遇到多少相同value和personality的人，那每天的生活都会很受影响，所以被拒不一定是你不好，只是你们不合适~

有毒！！我现在过了半年真的感谢robinhood没有offer之恩！ 当时那个recruiter对接完我就跳槽了

就是她！！！我只能说我自己可能没有强大到直接征服面试官吧，但是如果仅仅是我一个人的感觉那肯定是我自身的问题，如果大家都觉得很奇葩，那面试官一定有它自身的问题！祝好！

我感觉我还是题目都尽量讲得蛮多的了 你有什么具体的问题嘛？ 具体的onsite coding我没存哈 但是一共90min 我大概60-70min就做完了 这轮feedback很好

想问一下LZ coding那一轮需要用python做的是要用什么function? 还有LZ可以讲一下oppotunity sizing的答题思路吗，不胜感谢！！！

可以用python做 但是如果你可以用sql也是可以的
我记得无非就是加一个column算一下day over day的变化 看哪个group变化的最大 都很直接 不会超出pandas的范围

opportunity sizing的话我就是感觉自己没有答好 但是我会从product的upper funnel入手 比如说本来有多少人去看这个feature 由于加了这个会增加多少的lift 主要还是要问清做这个feature的目的。 和我面试的pm基本上没啥反馈以及不正面回答我的问题，所以我完全不知道自己答得对不对，在不在点上

太感谢LZ了，24小时内不能重复+米，明天继续来+米。感觉遇到这样的PM真的是无奈了，只能不停的说，弱弱的问一下LZ当时面试的PM是一个中国女生吗，我想要避免踩坑（或者有强行营业的心里准备），感恩！！！

感恩!!!但不知道他们家的其他PM是不是也会一个人的表演。。。想请教一下LZ, streaming business那道题的feature具体是啥，怎么quantify有多少人会去看这个feature，对于加了这个feature有多少lift怎么看是cannibalize现有的flow还有带来incremental的flow。
