申请的第一所学校，收到的第一封拒信

这封拒信权当攒人品了啊，虽然本来也没报多大希望。。
但是在0点整的时候突然冒出一份email来信提醒，而且第一眼就看到的是regret这个词，感觉还是略心酸啊。。
我的终极目标是，不要全聚德。。。


拒信如下：
Dear XXX XX ,

After a careful review of your application materials, we regret that we are unable to offer you admission to the graduate program in Statistics for Fall, 2014.  We have limited space for all our degree programs, and cannot accommodate many qualified applicants for our PhD and MS degree programs.  We thank you for your interest in Statistics at the University of Wisconsin and wish you every success in the pursuit of your future career goals.

UW-Madison Statistics & Biostatistics Departments

然后发邮件问了小秘rej的原因，小秘回复速度很快，但说了等于没说：
Admission to UW-Madison is very competitive.  In evaluating your application, we are looking at many factors including GRE and TOEFL (if applicable) scores, your personal statement, your prior coursework (especially in math and statistics), and your letters of recommendation.  Unfortunately, due to the very high volume of applications we receive, and the limited number of spots available in our department to accept new graduate students, many otherwise-qualified applicants are rejected.  Oftentimes it is not due to any deficiency on your part, but rather the very stiff competition against other highly-qualified applicants.  

We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.  You are welcome to re-apply to UW-Madison for the next academic year; each year the applicant pool is different and a rejection in one year does not automatically mean that you would be rejected in a following application cycle.

我准备的比较晚，所以提交申请都挺晚的。。

谢谢啦，其实自我感觉条件算一般般。。而且我准备工作都做的比较晚，希望有好运吧~~
