CMU-ebiz 前人介绍贴，感觉蛮有用的

感觉EBIZ作为一个跳板还是可以。 当然不让选课这点很不爽。。   非CS学院的都能选一堆各种CS课

是么。 我EBIZ的同学说 除了project 以外 第一学期可以选一门 好像基本必须是那个JAVA 第二学期可以选一门半。挺多好课只能旁听。。

我理解了，咱俩说得是两回事儿。。
你的意思是：选课数量有限制，关键词在一堆
我的理解是：选课质量有限制，关键词在非CS学院

后面一学期只能选个一门，但是选的时候限制不多。只让选一门据说是项目里不认为大家还有经历学别的。

对啊。。 对于学IT的来说 CMU 最值得体验的就是 CS学院高品质的课程 （主要是CSD 的，就是15打头的） 对水平的提升也最大。  只能上一两门的话。。 很不爽

我咋觉得对于学ebiz的来说多选点Heinz的课才对。。喜欢CS就应该报CMU别的项目嘛

看了这帖子之后我怎么觉得ebiz就是骗钱的项目啊……
尤其是最后一个学期是暑假做一个project要交16000刀的学费，能买一辆车了……

加一加大約也要70000~8000美金，換到的是Carnegie Mellon University的畢業證書 -- 够黑。。。

在edulix看到的：
I know a person who completed this course last year (Fall 2012), he is now working in IBM as consultant. I talked with him yesterday, he said that last year everybody got jobs...He mentioned that the companies coming in campus fair on CMU do not differentiate between MS and MSIT students. All students can talk to recruiters and submit their resumes and most of the students get called in for interviews in at least 3-4 companies. After that its on the student to crack the interview. All in all MSIT will give you the same opportunities for jobs as any other MS course at CMU but in the end its on us to crack the interview.
He also said that you should know what kind of job you want to do after eBiz course as accordingly you will take 2-3 optional classwork courses from CS dept each semester, so that your profiles remains relevant to the job you will do. Everybody there takes 2-3 classroom courses as well apart from the projects thats what he said.
So, I think this course is good if you do want to go in research field and want to start earning early.
I am also confused about joining the program as I am waiting for results from other universities so for now I am confirming my seat by sending 500$ and then I will decide when I will get other admits.
Let me know if you have some more doubts I will try to answer it or try to ask it from eBiz seniors if possible.

"Hi Arpit, Congratulations for getting into the eBiz pgm About getting a job it completely depends on what you want to work as and which company you want to work with. You can either apply for a developer post or a Business Analyst post or some kind of leadership rotational jobs that few company's offer.. I knw people have got placed into oracle, eBay, amazon, few start ups and so on..It depends on how you hunt for jobs here..there are job fares that take place and you can submit your resumes to them and if they find you suitable for some post they will call you..it depends on ur resume and your skills set and not whether u r from eBiz or from some other pgm..eBiz offers u a lot of courses that you can add to ur skills list and strengthen it more...
About the cost, your tuition should be somewhere around $51K.. your rent depends on the numb of pepl staying in the flat...u can assume a maximum of $450 that you might spend including rent and utilities..groceries and other stuff not more than $150 per month...phone bill around $50-70...so u can assume that per month u may require $600-700 and not more..accdly u can calculate and see..
