We have multiple PhD research assistant openings (Spring or Fall 2022) in the areas of computational mechanics, scientific machine learning, and uncertainty quantification. @Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, University of Notre Dame (Top20 University in the US, Top20 Aerospace Engineering Major --- USNews Ranking).
Possible research projects
• Scientific and physics-informed machine learning,
• Data-driven and physics-based modeling of manufacturing of composites,
• Uncertainty quantification and Bayesian learning
(Some of the positions will be co-advised by Dr. Jian-xun Wang and Dr. Tengfei Luo)
Required qualifications: undergraduate degree in engineering, applied math, physics, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications: MS; strong interest in computational science/modeling, basic background in computational mechanics and numerical methods.
