Postdoctoral Fellow Position Opening
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at Emory University. Our research aims to reveal protein-protein interaction (PPI) target in cancer, to understand how PPIs drive tumorigenesis and shape therapeutic response, and to leverage high-throughput screening technology for drug discovery. We are seeking a highly motivated postdoc fellow to join a cutting-edge drug discovery program. Successful candidates will primarily focus on discovery of small molecule probes to target protein-protein interactions in cancer. The candidates will also have opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment that offers a multidisciplinary research platform, ranging from high-throughput drug screening, cancer biology, system biology, cancer immunology, chemical biology, bioinformatics, and medicinal chemistry.
Qualifications: A RECENT Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Chemical Biology, Chemistry) and a track-record of publications and excellent written/verbal communication skills is required. Additional knowledge or interest in the following techniques is a plus: basic bioinformatics tools and xenograft mouse models. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, ambitious, team player that wants to contribute towards human health while having fun doing cutting edge science in the great city of Atlanta!
Application: Emory University supports a diverse and inclusive culture and provides equal opportunities and equal access to all individuals. Please submit CV, a personal statement describing interest in position, career goals, and contact info for three references.
