一道数学题的句子翻译，没有看明白，谢谢大家了！

是OG里面的数学样板题，大家应该都看过这道题，里面有这句话：“and there are more than twice as many employees in Department X as in Department Y.” 我每次做题总是理解错，正确的翻译是不是应该是X>2Y?
请教一下英语比较扎实的同学，关于比较级的形容，这句话应该怎么分析？ 可不可以给一些指点呢？谢谢！

发帖目的是想问“and there are more than twice as many employees in Department X as in Department Y.” 这句话怎么翻译，为什么我觉得就是Y>2X呢？？？

salary of X> 2*(salary of Y), Answer:Avg(salary)<(25000*2+3000)/3==>A,B.

我总是理解成Y>2X。。。怎么办呢。。
