In a marketing survey of 600 consumers about two brands of coffee, A and B, the consumers responded that they had tried either Brand A only, Brand B only, both brands, or neither brand. In the survey, 130 consumers responded that they had tried neither brand.
Which of the following statements individually provide(s) sufficient additional information to determine the number of cosumers who, based on their responses, had not tried Brand A?
Indicate all such statements.
A.        120 consumers responded that they had tried Brand A only.
B.        150 consumers responded that they had tried Brand B only.
C.        Based on their responses, 270 consumers had tried only one brand.
答案是B。 但是我认为3个答案全选才能回答。

Had not tired A = Had tried neither brand + Had tried B only

所以选B？

首先注意题目（GRE的Data Sufficiency的题目都是这样的要求）:Which of the following statements individually provide(s) sufficient additional information ... 当你说"3个答案全选才能回答"你是认为没有一个条件是Individually sufficient，也就是说你认为没有正确答案。

其次这道题的解法是这样的：
Total(600) = NeitherANorB(130) + BothAandB + AOnly + BOnly

consumers who had not tried Brand A 
= BOnly + NeitherANorB(130)
或者= Total(600)  -  BothAandB - AOnly 

很明显(B)是对的。因为consumers who had not tried Brand A = BOnly+ NeitherANorB(130) = 150+130=280.

但是这是多选题，还必须对（A）和（C）单独分析是否Sufficient. 
(A) BothAandB的值可以是从0到350 
(C) 已知AOnly + BOnly = 270. 但是具体的分配BOnly可以是从0到270. 

所以答案是（B）。切记：Individually sufficient. 
如果你看过GMAT的DS题目，和其第一和第二选项的分析类似，但是GRE不考虑GMAT DS中第三，四和五种选项的可能。
