Dr. He Li, from School of Chemical, Materials & Biomedical Engineering, University of Georgia, is looking for PhD students starting immediately. The candidates are expected to work on projects in Biomedical Engineering by combining multiscale modeling and scientific machine learning. Dr. He Li has been working on multiscale modeling of biological processes in blood diseases, such as sickle cell disease, hereditary spherocytosis and elliptocytosis, and thrombosis for over 10 years. The candidates will also be co-supervised by Dr. Lu Lu from UPenn to grow the machine learning arms. Students in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, or related majors with proficient coding skills are welcome to apply.
