招生要求
1.        B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mathematics, or related fields. M.S. with project experience and publication record is preferred.
2.        A minimum TOEFL score of 213 (computer‐based), or 79 (internet‐based) OR a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
3.        Strong background in system/network security and reliability, and computer networks is preferred.
4.        Good programming skills in Java, Python, C++, or Matlab.

Dr. Shungeng Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Cyber and Computer Sciences at Augusta University. He is looking for Ph.D. students as research assistants to join his cloud computing group. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in 2021. Before that, he received his B.E. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2014.

He is looking for Ph.D. students who are self-motivated and have a strong interest in Distributed Computing Systems, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity. The main research focus of his group is to achieve both good performance and high utilization for cost efficiency in cloud computing environments simultaneously, especially for e-commerce web applications like Taobao. Students with interests and experiences in areas related to system/network security and reliability, and computer networks are encouraged to apply.
