Multiple Post-doc Research Associate and PhD student (RA) positions are available in the Imaging and Informatics Lab at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell). Our lab is well funded by NIH, NSF, and other funding agencies. The students are expected to develop tomographic reconstruction algorithms using deep learning techniques for x-ray CT and nuclear medicine, as well as other applications. One of the emphasis of the openings are for cardiac imaging to improve temporal resolution.
For the post-doc positions, the screening and offer are rolling until all the openings are filled.
In the lab, the students have three options for the PhD program: (a) Electrical Engineering, (b) Computer Engineering, and (3) Biomedical Engineering. All the applicants need to submit both GRE and TOEFL/IELTS scores. The start date can be Spring (later January) or Fall (Later August) of 2023, 2024. Interested students can contact the director directly via Hengyong_yu@uml.edu. .
Short bio of the director Prof. Hengyong Yu: Prof. Yu received his Bachelor degree (1998) and PhD degree (2003) from Xi’an Jiaotong University.
