SUMMARY: Lawrence Technological University is in search of hiring a part time
Adjunct Professor to teach Biomedical Engineering courses on LTU’s campus in
Southfield. There is compensation and tuition benefits to finish or start a Lawrence Tech
degree at the Graduate level.
JOB DUTIES: The Adjunct Professor may teach both fall and spring semesters.
Positions will start in the Fall of 2023 and continue through Spring of 2024. Other duties
may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: LTU is looking for faculty with background and
credentials in the following subject areas: Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering or
Mechanical Engineering and/or Anatomy, Physiology or Kinesiology. Additional specific
course content or subject areas could include: Statics, Dynamics, Biomechanics,
Biomechanics Lab, Quantitative Physiology, Tissue Mechanics, and/or Orthopedic
Devices.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Advanced degrees in their subject areas;
minimum Master’s degree from a four-year college or university. Knowledge of static
equilibrium, kinematics and kinetics of rigid bodies, deformable solid mechanics,
material properties and engineering laboratory techniques, experience in teaching
College level courses and/or High School courses is preferred.
