Regular Engineer salaries are a joke . You get paid 60k a year as a new grad and after 10 years of experience you might make 100k.

Now imagine living in a high cost of living area , it’s a joke lol. will never afford to live there , forever renting or having an hour commute in the boonies .

i fear that tech salaries are going to deflate immensely to other engineer salaries . juniors will now make 60 k a year and top out at 90k after 15 years of experience for regular companies .

elite faang positions will be heavily reduced , and will now pay like 200k instead for top salaries .

America will follow path of other third world countries , only successful business owners can own a decent house , and a few extraordinary elite white collar professionals (top lawyers , doctors , finance , some tech ).

Housing will not go down , there simply isn’t enough being built .

说得没错啊，美国很多房子已经跟普通人没多大关系了。
