乔治梅森化学系王飞课题组招聘多名对理论化学和计算化学方向感兴趣的博士生。博士生提供全奖，包括学费，生活费，保险。王飞课题组致力于模拟在凝聚态和生物体系中的电子，质子转移反应，以及量子计算机在量子化学的应用。学生有机会系统学习量子动力学（quantum dynamics)，电子结构计算和分子动力学模拟，并熟悉在超级计算和和量子计算机上跑程序。目前课题组的具体研究方向包括：1. 量子计算算法的开发以及其在凝聚态下量子动力学的应用；2. 基于费曼路径积分的算法的开发；3. 量子动力学在量子生物上和材料科学上的应用，包括模拟酶催化过程的电子质子转移，DNA突变过程中涉及的质子转移反应，电荷在太阳能电池heterogeneous junction中的传递，激子在light haversing complex/molecular aggregate 中的传递，以及光化学过程中的relaxation. 学生在课题组里有机会和物理，计算机，数学和统计的老师合作，拓展研究方向和技能。

Several PhD openings in the direction of theoretical and computational chemistry at the chemistry department of George Mason University. The positions are fully funded (including tuition, living stipend, health insurance) with a flexible starting time: Spring/Fall.

Position Description and Qualifications:
The positions are available in Dr. Wang’s research lab. He received his B.S. from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2012 and obtained his PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in 2018. His research interest primarily lies in methodology development for simulating charge and exciton transfer in biological and functional materials, and using quantum computers for the potential speedup.
We expect self-motivated individuals with the following qualifications:
1.     Earned bachelor’s or maters’ degree by the date of admission in chemistry, physics, materials science, computer science or applied math.
2.     Strong interest in quantum dynamics and computer simulation.
3.     Good communication skills in English
4.     Preferred qualifications: coding skills, records of research and publication.
